You wouldn’t be looking to hire legal counsel if you didn’t have a pressing need or concern. Make sure the attorneys you contact respond to your phone calls and correspondence in a timely manner. Sometimes the legal process can be maddeningly slow. However, having an attorney who keeps you regularly updated on progress (even if just to say there isn’t any at the moment) can provide tremendous peace of mind.
